What you are paying for

Extension pricing is not just labour. The biggest cost is the hair itself — premium remy human hair matched to your colour and texture. Application time, method complexity, and the skill of the fitter make up the rest.

A cheap quote usually means cheaper hair, rushed application, or a stylist still learning the method. All three show up within weeks as slipping bonds, visible lines, or tangling.

Keratin bond pricing

Keratin bonds are priced per bond. A half-head might need 80–100 bonds; a full head with volume can need 150–200+. Our keratin bond tiers start from £250 for a partial enhancement and scale with the number of bonds and hair length.

Expect 3–5 hours in the chair. Maintenance every 4–5 months is a separate appointment — usually quicker and cheaper than the initial fit because we are reusing your extension hair.

Tape-in pricing

Tape-ins are priced per panel. Most clients need 20–40 panels depending on desired thickness. Tape-ins cost less upfront than bonds and take less time to apply — typically 1.5–2.5 hours.

The trade-off: refits every 6–7 weeks as your natural hair grows. Over a year, total cost can be similar to bonds — but spread across more appointments.

What affects your quote

Length: longer extension hair costs more per bond or panel. Volume: more bonds or panels means more hair and more time. Colour: custom colour-matching or balayage blending adds to the hair cost.

Your natural hair: very fine hair may need a more careful distribution, which can affect bond count. Very thick hair may need more panels to achieve the look you want.

Red flags in pricing

Quotes that seem too low for a full head — check what is included. "From £99" ads rarely include enough hair for a natural result.

Salons that will not give you a written breakdown. Studios that pressure you to pay a deposit before explaining the method. If any of these happen, walk away.
