What to Expect at Your First Hair Extension Consultation

Most clients are nervous before their first consultation. That is normal — you are trusting someone with your hair. Here is what actually happens when you walk into our Dagenham studio (or message us on WhatsApp first).
Before you arrive
You do not need to wash your hair specially or arrive with it styled. Come as you are — we need to see your natural texture, density, and any colour work.
Photos help if you are messaging first: a picture of your hair down, one from the back, and any inspiration images you have saved. We can often give a guide price over WhatsApp before you visit.
What we look at
We assess four things: your natural hair density and condition, the length and volume you want, which method suits your hair and lifestyle, and whether your goals are realistic for your hair type.
We will be honest if extensions are not right for you — or if a different method would work better. We would rather turn away a booking than fit something that will not last.
Method recommendation
Both of us are certified in keratin bonds and tape-ins. We will explain which method we would choose for your hair and why — not which one earns us more.
Keratin bonds suit clients who want a long-lasting, discreet result and can commit to maintenance every 4–5 months. Tape-ins suit clients who want faster application, lower upfront cost, and are happy with refits every 6–7 weeks.
Pricing and timing
You will leave with a written quote — method, estimated bond or panel count, application time, and maintenance schedule. Consultations are free. There is no deposit required on the day.
A full keratin bond fitting typically takes 3–5 hours. Tape-ins are usually 1.5–2.5 hours. We block enough time so you are never rushed.
What happens next
If you want to book, we agree a date over WhatsApp or in person. If you need time to think, that is fine — we do not follow up aggressively.
We send aftercare guidance before your fitting day so you know what products to buy and what to expect in the first 48 hours.
